I collected books by their titles (body parts, colours, times of the day, the four elements); I put one category of books at a time in my wheelbarrow and offered the books as gifts to people in the neighbourhood of my studio, at the local library and at various art events. I asked that each recipient allow me to photograph him or her holding the book. I exhibited some of these photos in my storefront studio window and in the A Space Gallery windows at 401 Richmond St. in Toronto. 2000-2002.
